salvaging gold vs purp vs blue
it would appear to me, that putting a "measure for measure" rune into a gold rarity item yields more materials than putting the same inscription into a purple or blue. blue and purples seem to give me 30-40 iron, and gold has been in the 70-80s.
has anyone confirmed this? i couldn't find anything on the wiki regarding it. Last edited by dr love; Dec 26, 2009 at 02:21 PM // 14:21.. |

ye that website post made me laugh. i rephrased my question though. essentially would the same weapon salvage into more materials on average if its gold as opposed to purp or blue?

ANet seems scale an item's base salvage (even without measure for measure) to give more mats at higher rarity.
It actually makes sense. Otherwise it would always be more profitable to just merch gold and purple items than salvage. |
